Founder of Sentra
Ashwin Gopinath is the founder of Sentra, an AI-powered company memory platform focused on building what he calls Enterprise General Intelligence (EGI): systems that allow organizations to remember, learn, and compound knowledge over time.
The idea behind Sentra emerged from a question Ashwin could not stop thinking about for years, ultimately leading him to leave MIT to pursue the vision full time.
Throughout his career, Ashwin has worked at the intersection of biology and physics, computation and matter, academia and startups — spending time at institutions and companies such as Caltech, Google, and MIT. His background spans research, engineering, startups, and emerging technologies, giving him a unique perspective on how teams build, learn, and evolve.
While working across disciplines and organizations, Ashwin realized the biggest constraint facing teams was rarely talent or tools. The real challenge was organizational memory: the ability for teams to stay aligned, retain context, and build on what they have already learned.
He believes most organizations struggle not because employees lack intelligence, but because companies themselves lack memory. Every repeated discussion, every forgotten lesson, every disconnected strategy, and every piece of lost context represents a failure of organizational intelligence.
