Founder & CEO, Paradox Machines
Helping executives understand why data quality, governance, and infrastructure—not AI alone—are the true drivers of long-term competitive advantage.
Ilan Man is the Founder & CEO of Paradox Machines, a data and AI company helping mid-market organizations turn fragmented data into a competitive advantage.
A Data & AI leader with deep hands-on experience across strategy, engineering, analytics, and organizational transformation, Ilan has spent his career building and scaling data functions across high-growth companies and consulting environments. He most recently served as an executive at Brooklyn Data Co through its private equity acquisition in 2023 and has worked alongside more than 50 mid-market data teams throughout his career.
Prior to founding Paradox Machines, Ilan held leadership roles at Squarespace, Paperless Post, and Formation Bio. Before entering the technology industry, he worked as an Actuary, bringing a unique analytical perspective to business decision-making. He holds a B.S. in Statistics from the University of Toronto and an M.S. in Statistics from Duke University.
Paradox Machines was born from a pattern Ilan saw repeated across organizations of every size: too much technology, too many vendors, and not enough partnership. Companies were investing heavily in data platforms and AI initiatives but often lacked the foundation needed to generate meaningful business outcomes. He founded Paradox Machines to be the company he wished existed—a true partner that helps organizations build trusted data foundations, unlock AI readiness, and create long-term business value.
Paradox combines data platform strategy, engineering, implementation, analytics, AI enablement, and ongoing support into a single solution — so organizations can make better decisions without building and managing a large internal data team.
