Relational leadership through storytelling, business, and human connection.
ABOUT
Joshua Evarts has spent over three decades building technology solutions for law enforcement and the federal government, redeveloping his downtown community in Meridian, Idaho, and creating one of the most experiential cigar lounges in the Pacific Northwest.
His background spans entrepreneurship, innovation, and community development — giving him a unique perspective on both business and leadership. Josh built and sold two technology companies over the span of 15 years. This work took him around the world, including two deployments in Iraq in 2007/08. Josh served as a Historic Preservation Commissioner for the City of Meridian. He is responsible for over $60M dollars in urban renewal projects in Idaho and was named the Man of the Year by the Meridian Chamber of Commerce in 2023. Josh also served on the Board of Directors of the Premium Cigar Association, authoring over 20 thought leadership articles for their quarterly magazine.
Driven by a passion for storytelling and real-world experience, Joshua is the author of a three-book series focused on career advancement. His work is designed for professionals looking to elevate their careers, strengthen relationships, and grow as leaders.
Josh has been married for 32 years to his high school sweetheart. They have three children and three grandsons.
"Relationships are the most valuable currency exchanged in both business and life."
IFJESUS SERIES
A modern series on relational leadership, human connection, and career growth.
The IFJESUS series explores how authentic human connection, meaningful relationships, generosity, emotional intelligence, and trust shape both personal and professional success.
Drawing from decades of entrepreneurship, leadership, and community development, Joshua Evarts uses storytelling and practical wisdom to challenge traditional ideas around leadership and career advancement.
Rather than focusing on corporate strategy or surface-level success, the series emphasizes relationships as the true foundation for influence, opportunity, and long-term growth — written for professionals, entrepreneurs, and leaders looking to grow in how they communicate, connect, and lead.
The first release, "If Jesus Smoked Cigars," launches August 11, 2026 — exploring relational leadership through real-world conversations, storytelling, and practical lessons centered on authenticity, listening, generosity, and human connection.
